What is Pathfinder 2nd Edition?
Pathfinder is a role-playing game where you create an imaginary character and then take that character on adventures, exploring a fantasy world where you can fight monsters, solve mysteries, and find treasure. Usually, a group of friends plays Pathfinder together: one player is the Game Master whose job is to describe the world and what is happening, and then there are about four other players who each have their own character and they describe what their characters are doing in the world. Your character can be almost anything you can imagine – a warrior, a wizard, a scoundrel, a dwarf, an elf, or even an android! We use maps to show the locations of our characters, for example the depths of ancient dungeons. We use our imaginations to tell the story of what happens, but we also use dice to determine if a character is successful or not when they attempt amazing feats such as fighting fire-breathing dragons. Lastly, there are character sheets to keep track of the skills, equipment, and magic spells of each character. Unlike a video game, your character can do or say whatever you want, but teamwork is very important, and you must cooperate with the other players if you want to be successful.
What do you need to play Pathfinder?
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED! Playing Pathfinder is fun and easy, and we will teach you how! The only requirement is that all Fantastic Heroes
MUST HAVE A LAPTOP OR COMPUTER TO PLAY. We use an app called Foundry Virtual Tabletop, but you don’t need to buy or install anything (it’s just a website with a login), and you don’t need to buy any rule books or any other equipment. The Foundry app includes everything we will need.
